Luci d’Artista Light show in Salerno

Luci d’Artista Light show in Salerno

One hour away from our hotel on the Amalfi Coast, the event Luci d’Artista brightens the heart of Salerno during the Christmas holidays.

Among the numerous events on the Amalfi coast available to visitors, at Hotel Margherita we often recommend "Luci d’artista”, a unique event in which the Mediterranean soul, art and modern technology merge together.

The show, the setting up of which starts in the first few days of November, is an authentic explosion of colours and creativity, combined with the inspiration of contemporary artists, who, this year, will enhance the main parts of the town with themed installations.

Villa Comunale will be transformed into the "The zoo I would like" – a forest populated by reindeers, deers, lions and eagles, a real Noah's Ark made from Christmas lights – while Corso Vittorio Emanuele offers a refined waterfall of lights, globes and lamps that will charm every visitor. "Luci d’Artista" adds to the effect of the traditional Christmas lights that Salerno already has and transforms the town into a fantastic new world that matches perfectly with its long history, art and culture.

Don’t miss the Rotonda at Piazza Flavio Gioia, where the divine Neptune and his marine kingdom dominate the scene, and Piazza Sant'Agostino, where the optical illusions incredibly smell like lemons, creating an amazing multi-sensorial journey.

Luci d'Artista has gathered hundreds of thousands of travellers for more than ten years and it is a wonderful way to enter a fantasy world. Children, grown ups, no matter how old you are, the atmosphere is contagious and the approach of Christmas puts everyone in a festive mood.
