THE ARTISTS

NICKY NICOLAI - Voice

Born in Rome, Nicky Nicolai began her musical journey in church choirs, following the best traditions of soul and gospel singers. Known for her "soave" (gentle) voice, she has become one of Italy's most respected jazz vocalists. Her collaborations with Stefano Di Battista have created some of the most memorable moments in Italian jazz, reinterpreting golden era songs in swing and jazz arrangements.

STEFANO DI BATTISTA - Saxophone

Born on Valentine's Day 1969 in Rome, Stefano Di Battista's romantic soul perfectly matches his ultra-romantic musical approach. Starting saxophone at thirteen, he was influenced by Art Pepper and Cannonball Adderley, along with Italian legend Massimo Urbani. Having performed across Europe with jazz legends like Michel Petrucciani, Jimmy Cobb, and Nat Adderley, he's recognized as one of Europe's leading saxophonists. His recent album "La Dolce Vita" showcases his ability to weave cinematic Italian culture with sophisticated jazz arrangements.
