Slow Food Travel on the Amalfi Coast: A Weekend of Flavour, Spring & Beauty in Praiano

Slow Food Travel Amalfi Coast – Weekend 14/15 March 2026

14-15 March. Experience an unforgettable weekend at Hotel Margherita in Praiano: Slow Food Alliance dinner, local products & the magic of spring on the Amalfi Coast.

14–15 March 2026 | Hotel Margherita & Ristorante Nonna Nonna, Praiano – Amalfi Coast

Spring is knocking on the doors of the Amalfi Coast, and Hotel Margherita in Praiano welcomes it with an extraordinary event: the Slow Food Travel Weekend on the Amalfi Coast — an experience designed for those who want to rediscover this remarkable territory through its most authentic flavours, breathtaking landscape, and the slow rhythm of one of the world's most beautiful coastlines.

The Event: Slow Food Travel Meets the Amalfi Coast
On 14 and 15 March 2026, Hotel Margherita becomes a privileged meeting point for lovers of fine food, nature, and conscious travel. The initiative is held under the patronage of the Distretto della Costa d'Amalfi and the Slow Food Travel Costa d'Amalfi, a guarantee of an experience deeply rooted in the Slow Food philosophy of good, clean, and fair food.

The half-board stay includes dinner or lunch at Ristorante Nonna Nonna — the gastronomic heart of the hotel — where the chef passionately interprets the culinary tradition of the Amalfi Coast through a specially crafted Slow Food menu.

A Menu That Tells the Story of the Land
Every dish is a heartfelt tribute to the finest produce of the Campania and Amalfi Coast regions, carefully selected by the Slow Food to celebrate authentic, seasonal ingredients. The Slow Food Travel 2026 menu is:

•         Artichoke parmigiana from Castellammare with Vesuvian tomato and Jersey cow mozzarella

•         Ricottaproduced by Mario from Fattoria Del Castello and lemon raviolo with porcini mushroom sauce

•         Agerolese cow braciola with potatoes

•         Lemon mousse with vanilla sponge

Lunch will be accompanied by a tasting of wine from Azienda Agricola Reale — an authentic expression of the Amalfi Coast's terraced vineyards — and artisanal limoncello produced with lemons grown in Hotel Margherita's own lemon grove and bottled by Valentino Esposito, for a fragrant, truly zero-kilometre finale.

A Walk through the Limoneto and Bio Garden with Suela
The programme also includes a guided walk through the scents and colours of Hotel Margherita's lemon grove and Bio Garden, accompanied by Suela — the soul of hospitality and dining at Casa Margherita. With her passion and deep knowledge of the territory, Suela will make this an unforgettable experience, revealing the secrets behind the legendary sfusato amalfitano lemon and the aromatic herbs that perfume the kitchen at Ristorante Nonna Nonna.

March on the Amalfi Coast: The Most Magical Time of Year
Choosing March to visit the Amalfi Coast means discovering it in all its authenticity, far from the summer crowds. Spring arrives timidly but powerfully: the lemon groves burst with fragrance, yellow broom flowers paint the cliffs, the sea reflects shades of deep blue, and the sun warms without scorching.

It is the ideal time to:

•         Hike the Path of the Gods without the summer congestion

•         Savour the freshly harvested local seasonal produce at its very best

•         Enjoy the absolute peace of Praiano's alleys — one of the most authentic villages on the Coast

•         Photograph stunning landscapes bathed in soft golden light, perfect for every shot

Praiano, in particular, is a hidden gem nestled between Positano and Amalfi: less touristy, more authentic, preserving its character as an ancient village of fishermen and artisans.

Hotel Margherita: Your Home on the Amalfi Coast
Perched directly above the sea, Hotel Margherita offers warm and refined hospitality that reflects the very spirit of the Amalfi Coast. Every detail is crafted to make guests feel immersed in the beauty of the territory: sea-view rooms, a panoramic terrace, and Ristorante Nonna Nonna where local cuisine becomes an emotional experience.
