Two Restaurants in Praiano on the Amalfi Coast: M'Ama! and Nonna Nonna

Where to Eat on Amalfi Coast: Praiano's Restaurants | Hotel Margherita

News for 2026! Two Restaurants, One Soul. A Complete Gastronomic Journey and a shared promise: Good, Clean and Fair.  Discover M'Ama! and our new Nonna Nonna.

Praiano is not a place you stumble upon. It's a place you choose. Nestled between Positano and Amalfi, in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, this quiet village has always rewarded those who seek it out. In 2026, Hotel Margherita adds a new chapter to its story: alongside the beloved Ristorante M'Ama!, a new restaurant is born, Nonna Nonna. Two restaurants in Praiano, two identities, one soul — and a shared promise: Good, Clean and Fair.

M'Ama! — Fine Dining with a Sea View on the Amalfi Coast

Ristorante M'Ama! is already a success story. For years it has been one of the most celebrated sea view restaurants in Praiano, drawing guests from the hotel and visitors from across the Amalfi Coast. On Hotel Margherita's rooftop terrace, contemporary Mediterranean cuisine takes shape through refined technique, creativity and a careful selection of local ingredients from Campania and the Amalfi Coast.

The menu is a declaration of love for the Mediterranean — each dish designed not just to impress, but to start a conversation with the person eating it.

Dishes worth travelling for

The menu at M'Ama! changes with the seasons, in true Slow Food spirit: fresh ingredients, short supply chains, named local producers. Depending on the time of year, you might find:

The restaurant's signature is the Margherita Gnocchetti with rocket pesto and clams: a contemporary take on the cuisine of the sea, present in the Buon Ricordo Menu. Among the pasta dishes, Pasta with potatoes and squid with purple potato chips reimagines a Neapolitan classic with a striking visual texture that makes it instantly memorable.

Among the mains, the Slow-cooked cod in olive oil with Controne bean cream, Caiazzo black olive crumble and Piennolo tomato jam is perhaps the most territorial dish on the menu: three Campanian presidia in a single composition. The Linguine with pistachio and basil pesto with Paolo Amato goat cheese names its producer directly — a small but meaningful gesture of transparency. And The Hazelnut — Giffoni hazelnut mousse with chocolate crunch — closes the meal with one of the region's most prized ingredients.

M'Ama! participates in the Slow Food Cooks' Alliance with its Alliance Menu at 70 euros. Open from 27 March, every day 12:30-22:30. Also ideal for private events and exclusive banquets.

Online reservations available.

Nonna Nonna — Where Traditional Campanian Cuisine Tells a Story

Before opening Ristorante Nonna Nonna, the team asked a simple question: what happens when the great Campanian culinary tradition is told with care, reverence and nostalgia? The answer lies in the restaurant's founding story: Nonna Nonna was inspired by two real grandmothers — Margherita and Erminia — who, with love and dedication, passed down their passion for the dishes of memory.

Local ingredients chosen with care, recipes reimagined with affection, an atmosphere that feels more like someone's kitchen than a restaurant. Nonna Nonna doesn't chase gastronomic trends — it preserves a heritage and brings it to the table every day.

The taste of memory: what to order

Like M'Ama!, Nonna Nonna's menu follows the rhythm of the seasons and the local market. Among the dishes that best tell its story:

The Ndunderi from Minori with buffalo blue cheese and walnuts: ndunderi are one of the oldest pasta formats on the Amalfi Coast, originating in Minori, and their presence here is almost a manifesto. Rarely found in restaurants today, they represent exactly the kind of dish Nonna Nonna was born to preserve.

The Fresh spaghettoni with Amalfi Coast lemon, bay leaf, Parmesan and basil is the quintessential territory dish: fragrant, direct, impossible to replicate away from this coast. Grandma's meatballs with Sunday ragu bring the Campanian kitchen to life at its most generous and comforting. The Fried salt cod with Controne bean cream honours a beloved Slow Food presidium in its most classic form. And the Delizia al limone — the iconic lemon dessert of the Amalfi Coast — is the only possible ending.

Nonna Nonna is one of the few restaurants open in winter too on the Amalfi Coast: active from February, it's a year-round reference for those visiting Praiano outside the peak season. Hours: until 26 March daily 13:00-22:00; from 27 March dinner only 18:00-22:00.
